Aside from social interaction, hygiene is also part of the expected norms for us to follow.

It’s also generally considered to be more attractive, as others will be less inclined to sit down for a conversation with someone who has awful smelling breath.

While smelling fresh and clean is always important, body hair is equally, if not more, necessary. Women especially are expected to have clean silky smooth legs and under arms. Several men prefer to have less hair than the natural amount on their legs as well. Unlike deodorant and fresh breath, the upkeep for smooth skin is usually more high maintenance. Shaving, waxing, and skin irritating creams are all part of common at home hair removal techniques, but their results are short lived.
